Fairing East: A Motorcycle Trip Across America

this can only end well…

Day 3: Wala-Wala to Missoula MT

Woke up to chilly blue skies in Lewis and Clark State Park and decided to stay on route 12 all the way to Missoula. The first 100 miles were through rolling green hills of wheat that looked just like the windows background. Next was 99 twisty miles along the Clearwater river in Idaho and on to Missoula MT. Somewhere between Wala Wala and Montana Adam’s glasses fell out of his pocket, so a visit to lense crafters was necessary. Leaving Missoula late we decided to head south and camp in grizzly campground near rock creek. Fortunately the rain and stench of three days on the road kept the bears away and we awoke Thursday to face another 300 miles to Yellowstone.
